From Beirut: Jeita, Harissa, and Byblos Tour
- Pickup available
- Duration: 8 hours
On this day trip, start with a visit to Jeita Grotto. You will enjoy a scenic cable car ride up to the upper cave; then, after exploring, you will take a train ride down to the lower cave where you will take a boat ride through the river cavern. Afterwards, you will visit the statue of Our Lady of Lebanon, Harissa, which overlooks the Jounieh Bay and offers panoramic views similar to that of Rio de Janeiro’s statue of Christ. Take another cable car ride up in order to go up to Harissa. End the day at Byblos, one of the oldest still inhabited cities in the world - dating back to 8000 years B.C. Walk through the old souq, visit Byblos Castle, go past the Fossils Museum, see Byblos' old port, and admire St Jean Marc Church. Please note Jeita Grotto and cable car are closed on Mondays.
The acitivity was mainly the transportation. It would be helpful, if the tour is with tickets included as the queues were quite long at some destinations.
Enjoy a breathtaking experience as you paraglide over the city of Jounieh. Savor the spectacular views of the city skyline and sea from above as you fly. Head to Jounieh and meet your expert paragliding instructor. Grab your gear and continue to the starting point at a mountain near Harissa. Once you arrive, hear a short instruction on safety from your certified pilot before getting set up in the paraglider. Once in the air, relax as your instructor controls the gliding while you soak in the views and capture incredible photos. Glide above the city for 15 - 20 minutes and enjoy birds-eye sightseeing with views of the bay and Mount Harissa. When you land, enjoy complimentary GoPro photos and video to remember this spectacular experience.

The three inspection points approached were good and beautiful. Unfortunately, the driver was not up to the task. When arriving, where the cable car ride was connected, the participants had to pay for the parking space. We have combined 5000 LBP. In retrospect we saw a parking lot for 3000 LBP nearby. He couldn't speak a word of English or local knowledge because he always had to ask locals how to drive and where to park.
We have been thinking about what critical point we could think of. Perhaps - but that is not because of this tour - that all Linanese drivers want to be "Max Steps"
Amazing experience from the cave of Jeita something wonderful I recommend to everyone. Byblos a little overrated. general impressions 5.
Once again I use Hop-on Hop-off very well thought out. Tight on the streets of Beirut :) and interesting.
All very nice and Robin is really great as a driver and guide
