Full description

The tour concentrates on the devastating Battle of Berlin, which occurred in April & May 1945. The battle was very much the dramatic conclusion to the Second World War in Europe, but it also played a huge part in the post-war situation of Berlin and the world. The tour takes us through central Berlin - known as 'Z Sector' during the battle. Here we will see many of the major battle sites and learn what the soldiers and civilians experienced during the battle. Your guide will discuss the war in general and the aftermath including its division into East and West, showcasing how the city recovered, changed, and became the city that would epitomize the Cold War.
