Full description
The history of the Berlin Wall still seems incredible today. A visit to Bernauer Straße is therefore a must-see during a trip to Berlin. Only here can you see the former division of the city with your own eyes as you visit the death strip with two walls and the watchtower. But above all, it is the personal, often tragic stories of divided Berlin that touches many people. Embark on a small journey through time to discover places where people lived, hoped, and freed themselves from the dictatorship. Discover exciting facts about the border, which divided Europe and even the world for a long time until the people courageously put up resistance against the deceitful regime. After the tour you will have the opportunity to stroll through Prenzlauer Berg, go shopping along Kastanienallee, visit one of the many restaurants and cafes, or visit the popular Mauerpark with its graffiti art.

Wonderful history of the Berlin Wall!

Our guide was extremely knowledgable and this was my favorite part of my entire trip to Berlin. I am very happy to have gone on this walk, and I came away from the experience learning so much more about the Berlin Wall! It was an incredibly interesting hour, I wish it lasted longer!

Great tour packed with info, that wasn’t expected

Marcel did the tour on 9 stories of Berlin I'd never heard before. It was in addition to the masses of information available to read. Marcel's east Berlin heritage topped off the tour, without using clichés and typical east west problematic. I learnt a lot of new things, although I've lived in Berlin for 5 years and already did a tour 8 years ago.

A must-do for every visit to Berlin!

The tour focused on the memorial site at Bernauer Str. Our guide Marcel offered very rich and comprehensive explanations and could answer every question. It was obvious that he was very passionate about it, surely because he personally grew up on Bernauer Str. The impressions from the tour stayed with us for days after. Definitely very recommendable!
