I went on the Sachsenhausen concentration camp tour and it was very informative and very interesting. My tour guide did a great job of keeping everyone together and helping us get to Sachsenhausen. He also did a great job of making sure we got bathroom breaks and we even got the chance to stop and get a snack. He was very accommodating. He really knew his stuff about not only the concentration camp but all the events during that time.

An excellent tour led by Richard who was very knowledgeable, informative, considerate, and helpful. A chilling insight into this camp, the people who ran it, and the poor prisoners. Highly recommended, with only one negative for us in that we found the time and distance of travel arduous as we have health and walking difficulties. Not for those that aren't fit enough for a full day out, but were still glad we went. Don't forget to take something to eat and drink as the day is intensive and no cafe facilities at the camp.

I am very glad I joined the tour of Sachsenhausen instead of going alone. There's so much history here, so much to learn. Our guide, Miguel, was very helpful and patient, and obviously has a passion for this part of our history. I did feel the tour moved a little too quickly, but I was given the choice to stay behind once the tour ended. There is a lot to see at Sachsenhausen. It was my first time seeing a concentration camp, and it was a bit of an emotional journey. The realization of what happened there kind of hit me in waves. I spoke to a couple in our group and they said this camp was a more interesting and intense experience than other camps they had visited. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in Berlin and want to learn about what happened in Sachsenhausen, and I certainly recommend going with Miguel instead of alone. I have already recommended this tour to my friends. Be sure to book in advance, and give yourself a little time before the tour begins to find them.
