3. From Tours/Amboise: Day Trip to Chambord, Blois & Cheverny

Depart Tours or Amboise to journey into the Loire Valley and discover some of its famous châteaux. Stop at the Château de Blois, notable for its unique mix of Medieval, Gothic, Renaissance and Classical architecture. What people are saying about Blois

My wife said this experience was "a trip of a lifetime" - so there you have it! If you're on a tight timeline and want to see the Loire Valley from Paris, then this is your trip. It was a fast paced day once you arrive in the valley, but the tour guide and bus trip were exceptional. The views are stunning and world-class history lessons come with this tour, so buckle up for a good time. We had booked the ticket with a wine tasting at Chenonceau and it was cancelled before we arrived - not sure how they can do that mid-tour but it happened and we were only refunded $20 (USD). I will say that was our only complaint, but overall this is a remarkable day trip and well worth the money in today's times.

What an amazing tour! The chateaus were beautiful. The guides, we had Jon and Ifiok, were outstanding! So much knowledge passed along. The wine tasting was terrific. Do this tour!

I am 117 lbs and 5ft 4. I was almost comfortable in the cramped seats but cant imagine what it would have been like for a larger person.

Great guide, learnt a lot of history. Excellent choice of locations and good organisation.
