Met at the Olala Bordeaux for the tour. We ended up having a private tour as our group (3 people) was the only one signed up for the full day tour. Headed off to Saint Emilion for the wine tasting at two different chateaus. Then we took a foot tour of Saint Emilion, which was just amazing! The cutest historic town with beauty at every turn and in every little nook. Then back to the Olala for a lunch featuring local fair. Then our same tour guide took us and 4 other people on the afternoon tour to the Medoc region. We tasted wine at two other chateaus and stopped at another for a photo opportunity. It was great to be able to taste wine from two different regions to be able to compare. We then loaded back into the van for the trip back to Bordeaux.

We greatly enjoyed the tour last week. Our guide was organised and so knowledgeable and made the day. We experienced a variety of different châteaux and learned about the experience of wine making from many different perspectives in addition to visiting the village of Saint-Emilion. Would recommend this tour to anyone!

The tour covering two major wine producing regions (left bank and right bank) each with distinct geography along with thorough history lessons of the city and all the wine making regions given by our guide Xavier was well beyond our expectation. My husband and I timed our tour to be done during the harvest time and we got just what we wanted. We got to see the ripe grapes on the vines everywhere we looked and saw the harvested grapes going through their first process of becoming wine at one of the chateaus.
