This 2.5 hour bike tour will take you from the vibrant heart of Brighton, along the seafront cycle path to the historic coastal village of Rottingdean, stopping along the way at a variety of sights. We will meet outside the Unitarian Church, on New Road in central Brighton. Here we will brief you, introduce you to fellow participants and equip you with a suitable bike and helmet (optional). We will then head out, stopping at: - The Royal Pavilion and it’s gardens - East Street & Quadrophenia Ally - The Palace Pier - iconic Victorian era structure - Volks Electric Railway - the oldest operational electric railway - Madeira Drive cycle path - Brighton Marina - Undercliff Path - a spectacular route right next to the sea, with white cliffs towering above you - Rottingdean village - the seaside village, famous for a history of smuggling and as the home of ‘The Jungle Book’ author Rudyard Kipling. Here there will be an opportunity to stop for refreshments at one of the many seafront pubs and cafes or explore the old village which includes Rudyard Kipling’s Garden.
