Brisbane: Story Bridge Adventure Climb

1. Brisbane: Story Bridge Adventure Climb

The Story Bridge Climb provides the best 360-degree panoramic view of Brisbane city from the heart and soul of Brisbane’s most iconic landmark – the Story Bridge. Your adventure begins at base camp, directly under the Story Bridge itself. After a quick pre-climb brief, you’ll depart the base and ascend a spiral staircase that leads to the start of the suspended walkway directly beneath the Bradfield Highway (Brisbane's shortest highway). You’ll start your journey along the suspended walkway to the base of the southern pylon, learning about the colorful history of the Story Bridge and Brisbane as you go. From here - it’s climb time! Start to venture up through the inner Eastern bridge arm, climbing level with one of Brisbane’s busiest commute points, and then ascending straight up the south-eastern cantilever arm that stretches over the Brisbane River and reaches up into the sky. Before you know it you’re celebrating with your climb group on the summit platform, where you’ll get your bearings and hear some fun facts about the amazing 360 panoramic view before you. See Brisbane and its surroundings, including the Glass House Mountains, Moreton Bay, and the Scenic Rim. Venturing further along you’ll explore the bridge from a different angle, traveling approximately halfway across the river below before returning to the top platform for a final climb group photo before your descent back to base camp. Every climb to the top includes a group photograph, with additional individual photographs available for purchase afterwards - once your adrenaline has calmed down! See the glittering nighttime lights of Brisbane below - a unique vantage point for such a view with twilight option.

Brisbane: Abseiling at Kangaroo Point Cliffs

2. Brisbane: Abseiling at Kangaroo Point Cliffs

Step off the edge of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs into a vertical world. As you wait in anticipation to hear your name being called for abseiling Kangaroo Point Cliffs, stand back and enjoy the uninterrupted views of Brisbane and watch the City Cat ferries, boats, and kayakers skim across the meandering river. You are in control as you descend down the cliffs, going as slow or as fast as you like using the rope at your side. Each session includes full instruction, a safety briefing, and equipment. Your friendly instructor will also be at the top of the cliffs holding a safety line to guide and encourage you the whole way down.

Brisbane: Outdoor Rock Climbing Session

3. Brisbane: Outdoor Rock Climbing Session

Challenge yourself to climb the weathered walls of Kangaroo Point Cliffs and experience the thrill of outdoor rock climbing. Meet your friendly guides and get kitted out with all the necessary equipment whilst watching a safety briefing. Once you’re feeling confident it's time to scale the rocks and put yourself to the test physically and mentally. As you ascend to the top of Kangaroo Point Cliffs, admire spectacular views overlooking Brisbane River and the CBD. This session operates every Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30am, and is perfect for families, friends, and groups looking for an early morning energizer. The experience has been designed to showcase the very best of outdoor rock climbing, which is worlds away from the scenes of indoor climbing centers.

Excellent! The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Though I was the oldest in the group by probably 2.5 times, I easily kept up with the younger members in the group (25-30yrs) and finished with the least perspiration on a 30 degree C day! The guide (though not a native - he was French!) was excellent, pleasant personality and very knowledgeable about the geography of the area and the history of the bridge. I was with a teenager (of 5 days) and he loved it as well. A great way to spend some time getting another perspective of Brisbane.

I am never good with heights, I was a little nervous about what lie ahead, but my fears soon disappeared as we started suit up ,and instruction given about the safety and how to walk the bridge ,was a great experience .

It was terrific. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The guide (Java) was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. We really enjoyed it and have been telling everyone how good it was. A great gift.

Me and the girls enjoyed it, learnt a bit of history along the way. Perfect time to go in late afternoon, saw sunset and a lovely cool breeze. Scenery was amazing!

Great experience, plenty of time to take in the views
