NYC: Broadway & Times Square Tour with a Professional Actor
- Duration options: 105 minutes - 2 hours
Are you a newcomer to Broadway? Or maybe even a regular attendee? Broadway is a magical experience, but if
you're unsure of the proper etiquette for attending a show, let us alleviate any fears.
An obvious and simple code of conduct, but one that's often ignored. Make sure to switch your phone - nothing's more annoying than bleeping in the middle of Mamma Mia!, for performers and fellow audience members alike.
If you've observed the first rule, this will be no problem. But a bright phone screen in the audience is distracting for the performers and the audience, and any photos you try to take will likely be of poor quality due to lighting and distance, so keep it off.
Don't feel that you have to put on your best dress to be allowed into the theater. But if you want to make an event of it, then why not dress up?
Sure, quietly eating a few M&M's isn't going to bother anyone, but just be aware of rustling packets and loud chomping or you might get an unfriendly nudge from your neighbor.
Everyone's paid a lot to see the show - especially a multi-award-winner like The Lion King, so try not to hog all the space around you.
Make sure to check the time the show starts and plan to arrive 30 minutes early. If you need to pick up your tickets from the box office, you may need to arrive even earlier to allow for standing in line.
If you want to catch one of the big Broadway productions, make sure to book in advance as they do sell out quickly.

Our tour guide was Chris Triebel. He was very entertaining and knew what he was talking about. As for the tour, it was amazing seeing all the theatres and learning the history behind them. Broadway isn't open yet, but this tour is the next best thing.
So fun, informative, and interesting! Our guide, Colin, was very personable and knowledgeable. Trying on Disney costume pieces was a blast, and I can mow say that I have sung on a Broadway stage! (Bucket list...check!)
Loved to hear all about the details on Broadway and Times Square. A lot of great history and details of the various historical theaters!!
Our guide Cory was great and very knowledgeable. Loved hearing everything he said. Definitely got our moneys worth.
