  • Bruny Island Highlights Day Trip from Hobart

    4. Bruny Island Highlights Day Trip from Hobart

Located at the mouth of the River Derwent, Bruny Island is one of Tasmania’s best natural highlights. Bruny Island is home to some splendid wildlife (including the white Bennetts wallabies), amazing scenery, rich indigenous history and delicious produce. After a short ferry ride across the D’entrecasteaux Channel, you'll head to Cape Bruny and the Bruny Island Lighthouse, stopping along the way for some spectacular views at the Neck lookout.  Next, you will enjoy great coastal walks and stunning beaches, including Adventure Bay for a quick swim (conditions permitting), before looking for the local white Bennetts wallabies. The highlights continue throughout the afternoon as you sample some of the best produce the island has to offer, including cheese and oysters.

I was impressed with 2 of the tours (Port Arthur & Bruny Island) and both tour guides had a wealth of knowledge, their expertise of how much information they provided on both days. Definitely be returning back again.
