Full description

Depart the Belgian capital in the morning and transfer to the charming town of Bruges. Upon arrival, see why the entire historic center of Bruges is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Go to the Lake of Love to see a calm oasis in the heart of the city.

Marvel at the 13th-century Begijnhof,  covered in a carpet of daffodils in the spring. Continue to the quiet, paved square of Walplein, and stroll down the narrow Stoofstraat. See sights such as the 800-year-old St. John’s Hospital, and the imposing façade of the Church of Our Lady.

Learn the history of the opulent palace of Gruuthuse, and walk alongside the banks of the Dijver Canal. Other highlights include the charming canal-side houses of the Rozenhoedkaai, the tiny square of the Huidenvettersplein, and the site of the 1st count’s castle on Castle Square.  Then, enjoy 2 free hours for lunch and explore the city as you please. Taste some of the exclusive chocolates of Bruges and pop into some of the legendary lace shops. Transfer back to Brussels, with an approximate 6:00 PM arrival time.

IMPORTANT: Your bus might not have a toilet on board. This is important because even if you have an emergency the bus driver MIGHT NOT stop. I was so glad Fofi (the spanish tour guide) was so nice and accommodating and was able to get the bus driver to stop. I made the huge mistake of touring a brewery in the afternoon and well.... My mistake. Do keep this in mind for your afternoon activities. That being said, this was a great way to see Bruges. Our guide, Vita was very friendly and knowledgeable. The spanish tourguide on our bus, Fofi was great. Since we're bilingual we were able to listen in on the spanish tours and they were quite the characters. Definitely would recommend the spanish tour guides as well.

ENGLISH SPEAKERS TOURISTS! DON'T TAKE THIS TOUR! THEY ARE FOCUSED ONLY IN SPANISH LANGUAGE. It is unfair with our tour guide, but we had a terrible experience in the reception in front of the Hilton Grand Place, and during the transfer to Bruges. At the reception, the woman who welcomed us didn't speak English, only Spanish. Us and a lot of other (English speakers) tourists were lost there, without instructions. Nearly a hundred tourists (speaking English and Spanish) there, without any organization, questioning each other to understand what was happening. At the departure time, if we had not heard other people's conversation we could have lost the bus. During the transfer to Bruges, we divided the bus with the Spanish speakers' tourists. The Spanish tour guide (the same woman who welcomed us) talked during all the transfer in a microphone, while our English tour guide tried to talk with us only with his voice. It was a huge effort to heard our guide instead of the Spanish guide.

This is an amazing experience and i would really recommend this! We were staying in Brussels and decided to do a day tour to Brussels; the experience with the train tickets had sold out so we had to get the bus option instead which we were apprehensive about however it was fine! The bus only took an hour and our tour guide was a Woman called Vida who was great; very knowledgeable friendly and bubbly. We were taken around Bruges for about two hours with Vida where we also stopped at two chocolate places and got to taste the local chocolate :) At around lunchtime we then were left to have four hours of our own time meaning it was a nice balance. The staff and other tour guides were very helpful.
