Great workshop! At the beginning you get a short introduction into the production of chocolate (what it is made of, where you can find the different beans and how they differ & how they are dried and turned into chocolate). This was more than enough for us, since we wanted to focus on the "doing" part. Then you start with the actual work. After trying the four chocolate types (dark, milk, white & ruby), you can choose which one to work with. You can make your own chocolate bar, chocolate coins/heats/writing and pralines. There were many topping you could choose from :) The chocolate itself was very delicious!!! At the end of the workshop you had a lot of chocolate to bring home with. We even got our chocolatier's products! She was very kind and helped even clumsy me make some decent chocolate xD She even took photos for us! I can only recommend doing this workshop!!!
Great tour! The food was delicious!!! Honestly, if you do the tour in the morning there is no need for breakfast, because you get so much food. We had a beer, did some sightseeing, then went to a restaurant and had a salad with two big shrimp croquettes, a huge pot of mussels, vol-au-vent with fries and an eclair for dessert. You could also get a coffee at the end of the meal. Each course was accompanied by a different beer. Then we did some more sightseeing and ended the tour with two pralines each, which was more than enough after the huge feast xD Our guide was very kind and knowledgeable. He gave us tips for further destinations we wanted to visit and showed us cheap options where we could buy the beers we tried. I can only recommend doing this tour!
Very good experience. We were about 15 people and it was in two languages (English and French). Our children were very happy to do this workshop. It was a pleasure for all of us. We enjoyed this time it was very interesting, funny and of course delicious :) Thank you.
It is a short and fun experience. Its a small intro to chocolates and is an active one with only a little bit of theory. It wont make you an expert, it is more about having fun and meeting other people
I absolutely recommend this workshop for a day in Brussels, even as a solo traveler. Even in an hour I learned a lot and got to make 3 kinds of chocolates to take home.
