Highly recommend booking this one - really friendly guy from Venezuela. Started with history of the Grand Place and then picked out the main tourist areas of Brussels. Really knowledgable with a great sense of humour. Plenty of advice for seeing the city -please if you enjoy this tour, give the guy a decent tip. Some other companies charge £20-30 per person for these tours

Due to the various train strikes in France in December 2019, we had to postpone our tour by a few hours, but the operator/organiser for this activity was SUPER helpful and understanding. Once we made it to the tour, the guide was excellent. Her knowledge of the area (she said she'd been doing the tour for many years) was very impressive and she was also very funny (although I think some people didn't understand). I highly recommend the tour and please remember to tip well!

This was 2h well spent. I've been on similar tours in other places/cities and it tends to be a 'numbers fest' where you're inundated with dates, names of famous people and statistics about their respective lives. The walking trip around Brussels was refreshingly different. There were some facts and figures sure, but the talk also captured the essence of the Brussels people and we learnt stuff about where the best waffles come from and about the permanent bureaucratic tensions between Federal/Regional/ Provincial governments in Brussels. Brussels people we found have a unique quirkiness manifested in competing architecture, slight asymmetry of a building on Grand Place, Don Quixote and a grand statue of King Albert over shadowing his much plainer wife. We felt when the tour guide spoke, humour wasn't far away and delivered with an astonishing command [both of words and delivery] of the English language. It puts our knowledge of European languages to shame. He was brilliant!
