We finished our week long stay in Budapest with the classical musical concert. It was organised quite well and the setting was beautiful! The Basilica was not anywhere near at capacity, , perhaps closer to empty when we went, this may have been due to a few things, 1)It is off season, 2) word of mouth got around that the concert is actually average. I have been to classical musical concerts before and to symphony's, and have really enjoyed them, but this was more around the violinist and his story to success (which should be celebrated, but maybe not in the way it was). Whilst I enjoyed the concert, I wouldn't recommend it, and I wouldn't be rushing back to go and watch it again unalike other experiences I have had.

The concert was very nice and while listening you could totally relax, just leave the day behind and relax. Since there were only 7 musicians in front, the acoustics weren't that loud and we had imagined it to be a bit more "voluminous". We also missed some kind of moderator, or something where the program is displayed with the respective title. For the money it wasn't enough in our opinion. But still a very nice concert!

It was a fantastic experience! My wife and I traveled to Budapest for our honeymoon and this was a great romantic activity. We arrived 10mins early, which got us front row seat. The string orchestra and vocalist were amazing! I would like to add that the VIP seating is only worth it if you arrive early to get front row seats. Otherwise, the lesser tickets would be much worth the price. Also, the only downside to the 8pm start is that the basilica closes its doors as soon as the show ends. So we were rushed out. It would be nice to see the basilica and soak in the beautiful art. Just go see the basilica the next day or prior to the show.
