Full description

Your full-day journey into Hungarian history begins with an optional pick-up at your centrally located hotel in Budapest. Head out in the comfort of an air-conditioned coach, and start off by enjoying the remarkable city of Esztergom and the largest Catholic church in the country.  Before the tour, get time to enjoy a 3-course lunch before continuing on to the magical artist’s village of Szentendre, where your guide. During the course of the day, you’ll have the opportunity to see Esztergom from another perspective during a photo stop in Slovakia. At the end of the tour, return to Budapest. In the summer, you'll return by boat (weekends only) or from October to April, you'll return by coach. In case of low water level, the return to Budapest-city center will be by bus.

We enjoyed the tour, but we were told it would be with an English translator, but the gentleman who was to do that spoke hardly at all and the woman who was supposed to do the Italian and French or Spanish, never stopped talking and we missed a lot of information because she hogged the microphone.

Very nice day, driver on time at the meeting, as well as our departure from the excursion (it was stormy, but sheltered in the boat, we did not take a drop) Attila was excellent and, polyglot, even for 2 each time made the effort to translate….practically everything. To recommend without hesitation.

Good walk, we learned a lot about Hungary, interesting guide, we would have liked to visit Visegrad (we just had lunch outside, it was good and a nice view of the citadel). Beautiful basilica in Esztergom. Szentendre is for doggies, apart from the many churches we would have liked to visit, unfortunately all closed due to coronavirus...
