Danube Bend & Szentendre with Lunch: Day Tour from Budapest
- Pickup available
- Duration: 9.5 hours
Climb aboard a pleasure boat at the pier of Budapest's Szent István Park and get a welcome beverage of a seasonal cocktail (mulled wine during winter) or soft drink. Then, cruise down the River Danube, and pass monuments such as the National Parliament, Buda Castle and the Várkert Bazár, recently restored to its original splendor. Head to the open deck for perfect views of the illuminated Vigadó Concert Hall, or look at the floodlit monuments between the Margaret Bridge and Rákóczi Bridge from the comfort of an air-conditioned deck with panoramic windows. Experience the city more like a local - although there are no audio or live guides on board the boat, it functions as a floating coffee house or pub experience with its own bar
Little cruise in the beautiful views, great value for the money. Inside the boat is a really classy bar with its big windows, but the drinks are actually cheap.
Book your full-day skip-the-line ticket to the Széchenyi Bath in advance and avoid the long wait in the queue at the entrance. You’ll enjoy fast and easy entrance at a separate Welcome Desk. The Széchenyi Bath is the largest thermal spring bath complex not only in Budapest, but in Europe as well. It was built in 1913 in a Neo-baroque style. At the time it opened its baths were private, having separate steam baths for men and women, as well as different public baths for men and women. In 1927, the spa complex was expanded and today it comprises 3 outdoor and 15 indoor pools. After its expansion, the thermal artesian wasn’t adequate to supply the spa, so a new well was drilled. The second thermal spring dates from 1938. Towels and swimsuits are available for rent or purchase. Please note that swimsuits which cover the entire body are not permitted.
The place was so huge with plenty of options to go and experience. I really enjoyed myself.

Great, goes a good route, plenty to see! Some confusion over a bus stop that appeared to have been moved, ended up missing 2 buses due to drivers using different stops but overall, worth the money and definitely easier than using public transport to see everything.

Cristian (sorry, I’m sure I’m spelling. It wrong ) was a wonderful guide. He took us through the history of the Jewish community of Budapest with some stops in the “street art” scene, local culture and politics, and how ruin bars played a major part in the revival of the entertainment district! If you’re ever in Budapest, even for just a few hours, this is definitely the activity you should be doing.
The tour guide was informative and entertaining. He also kept us safe on the roads and cycle paths. We saw many sites in 3 hours and learnt about their history. The other participants were friendly. Great way to overview Budapest and exercise at the same time.
The tour was very interesting for me. We went during a lot of beautiful and remarkable places in Budapest. The guide Eti was very kind and funny and I didn't feel how these 3 hours went. I really enjoyed the experience. Best regards from Bulgaria, Linda S.
Very good experience,. Our guide had a great knowledge of all of the tourist and historical issues about Buda. The tour is very well designed for any level of biker.
Riding our bikes around Budapeste was a great way to get an introduction to the city and sights highlights. Totally recommend it.
