Robbie was our tour guide/driver and he was most excellent. He provided us with some great history and we saw some amazing sites along the way. He personalized the tour by telling us about his favorite places to go and where he grew up. Robbie could tell I was interested in taking pictures and would point out vantage points that provided the best camera angles. He was patient with all our questions and he never rushed us. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if Robbie is your guide. Szentendre is a quaint town by the water. and has a charm and artistic feel. And don't miss the Marzipan Museum - very cute. Robbie treated us to a cheese langosh, which was truly the most delicious. He found the perfect spot for our picnic. Robbie recommended other sights to see in Budapest and told us a personal story about his experience with the crown in Parliament which was very interesting. He even told me specific trams and buses to take to other villages similar to Szentendre.
The town of Szentendre is a must see for any tourist visiting Hungary. It is mere miles from Budapest but one is transported to a different moment in time courtesy of this visit. Mike (our tour guide) was an exuberant and kind tour guide with a great personality. We appreciated being shown around the town by him. All in all, a lovely way to spend a few hours in Hungary.
This tour provided an opportunity to see a little of Hungary outside of Budapest in the easiest most organised way. The tour was accompanied by a careful driver and knowledgable guide. The guide looked after all our needs and provided a very informed clear commentary the whole day. I would highly recommend this tour and this guide.
The Village was beautiful!! Our tourist quide Attila was perfect show to us everything that we need to see!! We have a great time!
We enjoyed the trip but the guide was hard to hear. Not enough spare time and lack of public toilets were the negatives.
