The proper selection of wood, the right temperature of the grill, and even the proper distance between the meat and coals play an important role in the final result. All this will take place while we share some cheese, charcuterie, and a classic Argentinian aperitif, the fernet. Brought to Argentina by the first Italian emigrants Fernet has been a staple every since. Once the different parts of the Asado are ready and we finished preparing the best sauces to pair them with, "criolla" and "chimichurri", we will proceed to serve and enjoy each cut accordingly to the traditional order, always paired with typical Argentinian red wines. In this experience we will learn the secrets of the classic and famous Argentinian "asado" and what makes it so special. We will provide a description of the meat cuts used in the asado, the correct way to prepare them, and the order to serve them. We will discuss the differences between the barbecue of our neighbors countries and some of the Argentinian traditions during the asado. Our guests will learn how to prepare the Argentinian asado from start to finish and during the experience we will enjoy the classic Argentinian aperitif, the Fernet, and teach how to prepare it the Argentinean way.
