1. Byron Bay: Hinterland and Bangalow Full-Day Guided Tour

Explore all that Byron has to offer on this packed day tour. Visit the Byron Bay lighthouse, explore Crystal Castle, and enjoy a tasty BBQ lunch in Bangalow. Your adventure starts when you're picked up from your accommodation, and you'll be driven up to the iconic Byron Bay lighthouse. Marvel at the panoramic views over the Pacific Ocean and mountain landscape, and get up close to the iconic Byron Bay lighthouse. Between May and October, you can spot whales on their annual migration. Next, enjoy a tour of The Farm Byron Bay, a sustainable farming and food experience. Meet the resident heritage-breed pigs, Scottish Highland cattle, and free-roaming chickens. Stroll through fields of flowers, macadamia and pecan plantations, and market gardens filled with in-season produce.  Then, it’s off to the mystical Crystal Castle. Here you can marvel at the massive natural crystals on show, get lost in a garden labyrinth, take a gentle walk, touch the World Peace stupa or just enjoy a coffee and soak up the hushed tranquillity of this amazing place. The Zen quality of the crystals will put you in the perfect frame of mind for a drive through the beautiful Byron hinterland to the next destination, the historic and delightful town of Bangalow. Enjoy a delicious BBQ-style lunch, followed by a stroll through this beautiful village, which includes vintage clothing stores, homewares shops, glamorous designer boutiques, and an authentic French patisserie. Byron Bay: The Farm and Lighthouse with Lunch & Tastings

2. Byron Bay: The Farm and Lighthouse with Lunch & Tastings

Setting off from the Gold Coast in the morning, cruise down through the rolling green farmlands of the Tweed Valley towards the iconic northern New South Wales beach town of Byron Bay. After taking in the sweeping views from Cape Byron Lighthouse, keep your eyes peeled for migrating whales between June and October. Opt to take a refreshing dip at nearby Wategos Beach, home to some of Australia’s priciest real estate. Visit hip hilltop cafe Top Shop, a local institution for a caffeine hit before heading to The Farm. This lush, working farm on the fringe of Byron is anchored by the lauded Three Blue Ducks restaurant, where you'll tuck into an incredible lunch showcasing produce harvested just meters from the table. Take a stroll around the property to meet the Highland cows, purchase some homegrown sunflowers at the on-site florist, or perhaps grab an ice cream at Baylato, before making a move to Stone and Wood to sample the famed Byron Bay brewery’s multi-award-winning beers. Enjoy a tasting at one of Byron’s boutique distilleries set in a lush rainforest. Cape Byron Distillery specializes in gin (with whisky on the way), while Lord Byron Distillery produces rum, vodka, gin, and more. Hear stories of sustainability just as epic as their boozy offerings at both venues before returning to the Gold Coast.

Brisbane: Full-Day Byron Bay Tour

3. Brisbane: Full-Day Byron Bay Tour

Visit Cape Byron and see the dramatic cliffs as they tumble down to the ocean surge. Your full-day coach tour departs from Brisbane City early in the morning before heading south through some of the popular beach-side suburbs. Enjoy the endless stretches of pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and a diverse mix of people as you drive across the Queensland border into New South Wales and through the sugar cane country of the Tweed Valley. Your ultimate destination is the easternmost point of mainland Australia, which is marked by the Victorian-era lighthouse which sits high on the crest of Cape Byron. Standing high on a bald rocky headland, the lighthouse has a precipitous cliff to the east and a sheer drop of approximately 330 feet below it. The Cape Byron Lighthouse is one of the most powerful lighthouses in the world, and the most easterly in Australia.

Our tour guide Tom was so so lovely. Very knowledgeable and knew alot of byron bay and it’s history. He took us to all the spots and they were beautiful, unfortunately the weather was not the best that day but it was all worth it. The crystal castle was amazing and definitely worth a visit. Lunch was provided with a BBQ made by Tom just burgers and chips, simple and easy, you can’t complain! Anyway we just want to say thanks to Tom as he was genuinely such a good person and tour guide.

I enjoyed the whole day! The tour guide Tom was lovely and knowledgeable and cooked us lunch! I especially loved the Crystal castle and the gardens! The lighthouse was beautiful. Could've missed going to bangalow, not much to see or do but was relaxing having lunch there listening to all the birds in the trees

Tour guide was very informative (knew a lot about Byron bay and it's history) and easy going. We went to some interesting spots, however the lunch was okay but just a burger on a bbq and some chips, which wasn't what we envisioned for the lunch considering the lunch write up. Overall a good tour!
