Cabo San Lucas: Mexican Cooking Class

1. Cabo San Lucas: Mexican Cooking Class

After meeting your master chef at the central meeting point and discussing any dietary needs, your chef will guide you through several local spice and produce markets around the different neighborhoods of Cabo San Lucas to gather the ingredients for your menu. You'll also visit a Tortilla factory where they make the dough that you will use to cook your own tortillas. After shopping for the ingredients, your chef will welcome you into his home, where you will get hands-on instruction in crafting an authentic Mexican feast. You'll learn how to make salsas, tortillas, guacamoles, tacos, and possibly other Mexican recipes. Finally, enjoy the feast you've prepared with margaritas and tequila or mezcal tasting.

What people are saying about Cabo San Lucas

We were pleasantly surprised how fun our cooking class was. Carolina our chef was awesome and helped us cook the most delicious lunch including salsas, guac, chili rellenos, fresh tortillas and steak. I even enjoyed our bougainvillea infused margaritas (and I don't like tequila). From the car ride in a convertible VW bug, shopping at the market, quick stop at a bakery and cooking at the chef's sweet mama's house. The whole day was perfect!

We have been to Cabo many times, done all the usual activities so thought this would be a different experience. It was great! Highly recommend. We spent little time shopping but got to see where to locals shop then headed to the chef's home to cook. Food was awesome, the small group was fun (no more than 10 people) and the drinks were flowing. Issa is the bomb! Highly recommend.

Chef Izzi was absolutely fantastic, as was our entire time together in this class. I would recommend this to anyone headed to Cabo and looking to appreciate a more personal, culturally significant experience. Everything we made was so delicious and it was really enlightening from end-to-end. So glad I did this.

This was a fantastic experience! Issi is a fantastic teacher and guide. Will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Cabo!
