Because the tunnel was without angles or trenches, the usual technique for dynamite drilling was impossible (the crew used those angles and trenches as shelter while blowing up charges just a few meters away). Instead, small cavities were excavated at regular distances to allow the workers to gain cover after igniting explosives. They are still visible in the guided tour. The workers began drilling the upper gallery, 37 metres (121 feet) above sea level with dynamite and mechanical drills (many mines at the time mostly used pickaxes) until they reached the sea. They then hung from ropes and began drilli...

Myself and my family of 6 adults had an amazing tour of Cagliari. It was easy to book and all went to plan. It was an excellent door to door service. Our guide was Franco Cerniglia and we could not have had a more friendly, informative, passionate guide whos' knowledge of his country and indeed many subjects was amazing. Our ages ranged for 24 to 65 and the whole tour everyone was interested in what Franco had to say.
excellent visit of Cagliari with a patient guide who by his knowledge made this visit fascinating. Well done and thanks to our guide (we have not retained his first name) we will not hesitate during the next vacation to use your services which are impeccable both your sales department and your partners. cordially
Laura was a fantastic guide. She organised us in advance, and made sure everything ran smoothly. By the end of the tour, it felt like we knew the city very well, including some great places to eat, and we were made to feel very much at home in the city. Laura is amazing!
Laura was very knowledgeable and designed a tour around our specific requests. She was fluent in the history of Cagliari as well as sites we could visit on our own during our visit.
Laura was a gem. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to get a personal look at Sardinia through the eyes of a creative, thoughtful young woman
