Cagliari: Santa Cristina's Well Temple Archeological Site

10. Cagliari: Santa Cristina's Well Temple Archeological Site

This combination tour will take you into the heart of Sardinia, into a little town called Paulilatino. On the tour, learn about Sardinian history, the Nuragic civilization and their monuments. Discover the Nuragic village walking through Nuraghe, the temple and cemetery. The well temple of Santa Cristina (12th-century BC) is one of the finest examples of the elaborate religious architecture of the Nuragic era. The nuraghe structure consists of an entranceway (dromos) with steps leading to an underground, circular domed chamber (tholos), all surrounded by an enclosing wall (temenos). The walls of the stairway and underground chamber are made from finely cut ashlar blocks of alkali basalt rock. Santa Cristina can without a doubt be considered the most representative structure of the Sardinian well temples. In the area surrounding the temple, you'll find the remains of a village, at the front of which stands a 'meeting hut' with a circular stone seat. Visit an old village and church from the Middle Ages. Your local guide will be keen to make the tour as personal as possible. Beautiful E-bike experience in Cagliari

It was truly a beautiful cultural and naturalistic tour. Our guide was very good and very professional. We had a lot of fun and we got to know Cagliari in all its aspects: starting from the historical center with a detailed historical description we reached the marina, the naturalistic park where we spotted flamingos and other birds and then strolled on the Poetto and reached the Lighthouse with a wonderful view over all Cagliari. Upon returning our guide pointed out to us a small flock of dolphins that fished in the harbor waters: BEAUTIFUL. We recommend this experience to everyone: if you are in Cagliari and have a half day free, you cannot miss it !!!!!!!!!

It was great, just beautiful. To do absolutely. Valentina gave us all the necessary information: about the city, the marina. She also gave us information on the saltworks, the Flemish. The break on the poetto beach allowed to exchange. I highly recommend this outing. No problem with electric bicycles: no effort if you want and even if it's hot it's very pleasant with the little wind. Bravo for this excursion

Fantastic experience

The bikes took a little while to get used to but then it was the start of a fantastic tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, interested in ensuring we had a wonderful time and the tour was 5 hours instead of 4. We were a little saddle sore but it was worth it. I would heartily recommend this tour. Thank you.

The travel was very well organised, everything was on time, the guide Valerya wa really nice and competent- tells us a lot of very interesting facts about Sardinian history and attractions. Really recommend this bike tour.

Very nice ride across Cagliari. Leisurely. Beautiful views of nature (flamingos!!) Our guide Una was very friendly and knowledgeable about the route.
