Hands down the most amazing experience. Definitely worth the money. Pack your own mosquito repellent, otherwise you can purchase from the counter for $10. Lots of walking so wear enclosed shoes and water bottle. You can bring your own food and have a picnic by the castle or you can purchase there. There are tours every half hour included in your ticket. You must join the tour or you will not truly appreciate and understand the history of the park

Great experience, we didn’t plan on doing the guided half hour tour however we’re glad we did because the story of the park made walking around that much more interesting. Recommend if you’re in the area or heading up to cairns from Townsville like we were. The tour is part of the entry fee and alongside that you get one night free camping and park entry for 2 years.
