Unfortunately the flight was cancelled due to possible mechanical issues but a refund was issued. Very long and good gondola ride above the rain forest. Train ride was pretty and relaxing. Kuranda town was nice as well and I’m not big on those “touristy” towns. Nice day.

Daniel our pilot picked us up from our hotel then took us on this Absolutely amazing flight over the Great Barrier Reef and Green Island for 40 mins with commentary. He was so friendly and made us at ease straight away. Fantastic take off and landing with just awesome views of the reef. A must do experience. After that we were taken by bus to the skyrail which went up the mountain with spectacular views of Cairns the only thing would be that it was hot. Then once we got to Kuranda we walked up the main street and walked thru the shops, had some lunch then walked to the pub as this was airconditioned. Walked down to the train which we got on early as too hot. The train ride was amazing as well seeing some beautiful sites and waterfalls. Some of the carriages were over 100 years old again very hot. We got back to Cairns station then walked to central shopping centre where we walked thru the centre to get a taxi back to our hotel. The day was unbelievable just needed airconditioning.

It was such an amazing day! The variety of activities were perfect. The flight over the reef was incredible- I definitely recommend doing this with GSL Aviation as the cost was very reasonable. They were very friendly, informative and professional. We were then dropped off at the Skyrail to go up to Kuranda, with a couple of interesting stops on the way. Kuranda is a lovely village, worth a visit. The train brought us back to Cairns, which was a beautiful two hour trip.
