What people are saying about Cairo

6 stars! Our college age impossible to impress kids said it was the most fun they could remember having!! Fares (pronounced Ferris) was the best guide I have ever had!! Personable, friendly, funny, caring, knowledgeable, great photographer and totally dedicated to making sure everyone had a BLAST!!! Worth every penny! Van picks you up promptly at hotel (water provided). Drive out through Fayoum where you switch to 4 x 4 with Bedouin driver! Cue awesome Bedouin music! Then you go to the National park where the waterfall and lake are. Camel ride is a must at the waterfall. Camels are all dressed up and well cared for. (You could also go on a boat or ride a horse instead - include) Fares is always snapping photos of the group! We stopped for local fafalel (best!) and at a local tea place. Then off roading in desert and it’s wild! Crazy fun! Climbed beautiful buttes. Swam in “magic lake”. Sand boarding + bbq lunch at cool Bedouin camp—delish! BOOK THIS! Great break from tombs + crowds!

Communication was great with the tour company the day before and our driver Fares the morning of our excursion. He was early and was a great help explaining the city of Cairo/ Giza as we drove to the 4 wheeling spot . It was really nice being my ourselves and actually getting to ride the quads instead of slowly following one person behind another that a lot of tours are like. The camel ride was nice and long and everyone was great! Would highly recommend Fares as a tour guide and this tour company for your 4 wheeling and camel ride experience in Cairo!

Our guide Salib was very knowledgable and gave clear and interesting explanations. The ATV drive around the pyramids at the end was awesome. (in the road to the site, your drive alongside horses and camels, which is animal unfriendly) Lunch was not included, and we were guided to a certainly good, but also a bit tourist-trappy restaurant.

This was an amazing experience! I had a completely different tour fall through and last minute decided to add this one and I’m so glad I did! Mahmoud was an awesome guide and showed me so much in one day. I’ll definitely be back to do a multi-day trip in the desert!

Everything was great in the trip. The tour guide "Ramy" was supper, very professional and friendly. Highly recommended!
