A visit to the Calgary Tower is highly recommended. You have a wonderful view of the city itself and the Rocky Mountains can also be seen on the horizon. Great photos can be taken. The platform with the glass floor is also great. From there you have an impressive view down the tower. For me it was a nice experience. It is advisable to buy the tickets in advance. On site it is 2 CAD more expensive than on the tower's website. At GYG it is slightly more expensive than on the tower's website directly. However, I couldn't book anything there for my desired day, which is why I chose GYG. This also has the advantage that you can cancel up to the day before and are not limited to a time window. By the way, the tower opens at 10:00 a.m. and not 3:00 p.m. as stated on the booking confirmation from GYG.

Kinda pricy but was a fun way to spend an hour on the last day of our trip to Canada. My 8 year old like it. We liked the video telling how it came to be. It was also fun seeing how tall other towers in the world are. We also liked taking pics on the glass floor area. We walked from our hotel.

We arrived with small children who could not see above the registers by the windows. A sign said not to sit on the registers. How are small children to see Calgary and surroundings? A ledge needs to be placed around the windows so children can stand and see. You cannot hold children in your arms for long periods of time.
