Excellent day. It was great to have the day planned out but no time constraints (other than getting back for the ferry!) We got the earliest ferry (8.30 am) and picked up the tickets right away. It was very windy so the first boat trip wasn’t till 10am. The blue grotto was closed because of the weather so saved having to decide whether to do that or not. There was a bit of confusion about the bus to Anacapri- I think we ended up on a French tour by mistake, but the bust got us to Anacapri. We went straight for the chairlift before lunch. There was rather too much food for us. In retrospect the basic (rather than gold) option would have been better as there was no queue for the chairlift so we could have just bought tickets. When we went for the bus back to Capri, they organised a car with just us as a bus had just left! Very good value and saved the hassle of getting individual tickets although there were rarely queues. That might be different in peak season so even better value.

Arriving at the port I collected the tickets for the boat ride, it lasts an hour and a half because you stop at the blue grotto (if there is not a lot of queue it is absolutely worth seeing). Upon returning, I collected a folder containing the tickets for the rest of the tour. Immediately on the private bus (blue) to Anacapri, as soon as you get off lunch at the restaurant "La Giara" (first, second and dessert, there is even a choice and it is very good, very kind dining room staff). At the end, go to the chairlift and climb Mount Solaro from which you can enjoy an enchanting view of the island, then return to Anacapri to see the historic center (similar to Capri but less crowded). Unfortunately there is not much time because the last bus back to Capri is at 16:00. Back in the historic center of Capri, you can enjoy the time left between shops and points of attraction. The only flaw: there are already many people in May, let alone in the summer months ...

Excellent package for a family ; very well organized; We had a private mini bus and a private tour guide, excellent with 20+years experience; we could not wish for more; strongly advise a guide as pompei ruins are huge ; also fast track pass was very handy as were a lot of tourists The lunch and wine tasting was excellent; beautiful restaurant It looks expensive but we were completely satisfied; money well spent

Highly recommend doing this tour! The guided tour of Pompei offered good insight and knowledge of the history of the town. The walk up Mount Vesuvius is a little taxing (takes about 40 minutes) but is well worth it once you get to the top for the views! And the wine tasting and lunch really topped off a great day, is well worth the money

It was a great day. No guide included, but still very clear and easy to manage. Time was freely allocable, it was very relaxing.
