    1. Rome: 4-Hour Traditional Food Tour and Wine Tasting

Eat your way through the "Eternal City" on a 4-hour walking tour of Rome, starting in the vibrant square of the Campo de’ Fiori. Soak up the dynamic atmosphere of the bustling cafés and street musicians at the start of the Italian tradition of "aperitif." Meet your guide at the perfect spot for a tour focused on food and wine, and sample a selection of artisanal salamis from Italy, paired with your first taste of the country’s fine wines. Stroll through the city center as your guide divulges its strange and wonderful history. Then, nourish yourself with some local cheese at an historic shop that sells cheeses of various Italian origins. A fantastic experience! We were looked after superbly by Guiseppe, who was knowledgeable, friendly and made everyone feel welcome. The group was small enough to get to know our companions (who were lovely,a great international group). The places chosen reflected typical Lazio regional and wider Italian food well. However, the best part was the combination of fascinating historical information about the old city and Trastevere, our favourite part of Rome. A really enjoyable time and a great way to spend an evening getting to know Rome a little better! Grazie mille, Guiseppe!

  • Rome Pasta-Making Class: Cook & Dine with a Local Chef

    2. Rome Pasta-Making Class: Cook & Dine with a Local Chef

There’s nothing quite like a home-cooked Italian meal, especially when it has been prepared with the help of a professional chef and when you get to enjoy it on a beautiful private space in Rome. This is an experience that’s typically reserved for the real Romans, but now you can experience it too on this 3-hour activity. You’ll meet the chef in the charming Trastevere neighborhood, and you’ll be greeted with Prosecco and snacks, the perfect aperitivo to get the class started. The itinerary for the lunchtime class is slightly different. You will meet your chef at the meeting point and visit a traditional local market to shop for the ingredients for your meal. Soon it will be time to learn how to make pasta from scratch. If you want to make authentic Italian food at home, this is the number 1 skill to learn. The chef will guide you and the members of your small group through the hands...

My 16-year-old daughter attended the class. At the end she expressed some annoyance with the fact that she was the only teenager in the group. There are only two options to attend (under 14 or 15 and above). She did not really find her place among the group and felt quite left out during the talk around the table. Alcohol consumption is also not appropriate at this age. I suggest better matching of content and party or individuation of instruction when needed.

SO GOOD. Catia was the best host and guide we could have ever asked for! Great food selections, fantastic wines, and wonderful conversation. The other party that was supposed to be in our tour did not show so we had Catia all to ourselves and it was such a treat! We learned so much, and left full & happy. This tour has been a highlight of our trip in Rome and we could not recommend it any higher! Thank you Catia for the most enjoyable evening!

The meeting point was easy to find. We were a small international group. Guiseppe was authentic and, in addition to his passion for good food, also had a lot of historical details ready. It was a culinary foray into Roman cuisine.

Katia was marvelous. Great company and great locations. Absolutely delightful.

Very good organization, everything works well. Met nice people, good food.
