Depart Ho Chi Minh City early in the morning at around 5:30 AM and relax on the 3-hour drive to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta. Navigate the water channels by boat and make your way to Cai Rang Floating Market to join the hustle and bustle of the locals. Discover how an authentic vermicelli soup dish from Vietnam is made before wandering through the village and meeting some of the locals. Learn how to cross a "monkey bridge" built from a single stem of bamboo. Taste exotic fruit from an orchard garden and visit a rice mill to learn how rice is processed. After visiting Cai Rang floating market, we will travel to My Tho to explore more of Mekong Delta, take a motorized boat cruising on the river, also visit Ben Tre, known as the coconut kingdom. Lunch will be served here, after lunch, relax and then travel back to Ho Chi Minh city.

You will start your tour at 5.00 AM when your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Saigon. You will enjoy a light breakfast in your private car as you look out at the stunning views of paddy fields lit by the morning sun. After three hours of driving, you will reach the market, a bustling and colorful array of people selling their wares in the water from boat-to-boat. Afterward, you will be taken to a workshop where you will be shown how to make “Hu Tieu”, a traditional noodle dish.   Leaving Can Tho City, you will head to Cai Be for a cooking class. A local chef will teach you some cooking techniques, and you will prepare a delicious lunch. You will hear about different flavor combinations and cooking styles around Vietnam and will learn about the lives of the locals. You will have some time to rest in the nearby comfortable shady hammocks before taking a bike ride through village roads to visit some handicraft workshops. You can take in the beautiful tranquility of village life and if you are lucky, may hear some South Vietnamese music as you pass by.  You will then be transported back to Saigon by car and will arrive at your hotel at around 5.00 PM. 

DAY 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho 7.30 am: The car and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. One the way, you can stop for taking a photo and enjoying the nice scenery of green rice fields, the peaceful Vam Co Dong river. 9.30 am: Visit Vinh Trang pagoda – the biggest pagoda in Mekong Delta. It best reflects the soul of Mekong River Delta with a unique structural style. After that, we take a leisurely boat ride along the river to enjoy fresh air and escape the busy town. See the typical stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Go to Tortoise islet for lunch in the orchard garden with local fresh specialties. Then, the cruise through the shadows of the water coconut trees will take you to Ben Tre.
