Tenerife: Los Arcos Canyoning Trip with Canyoning Guide

1. Tenerife: Los Arcos Canyoning Trip with Canyoning Guide

Try something new and spend an active day outdoors on this canyoning excursion to Los Arcos from Tenerife. Gear up in canyoning gear, then prepare to rappel down the orange canyon walls, take in the fresh air, and get unbeatable views of the landscape. The approach to the ravine begins on a forest track with a gentle slope, where you’ll walk for about 45 minutes. The start of your descent begins with a first rappel of about 22 meters. From here, you can begin to observe how the accumulation of volcanic ash and the erosion produced by the passing of time have naturally come together and formed this unique canyon. The light playing against the moss-covered orange walls and creating various shades will undoubtedly be the main attraction during the entire descent. After finishing 9 rappels, arrive at the Chimoche track to conclude your descent. Finish off your trip by making your way back to the starting point on an approximately 20-minute walk.

I can't say enough good things about our guide Jorge and about this trip. Super well managed, gorgeous canyon, spectacular day. Jorge was very knowledgeable and safe. He put everyone at ease. I'm an experienced climber and was impressed by his safety systems and knowledge. Each rappel had it's own challenges, keeping us interested. He taught us well and also adapted to the comfort of each member of the group. He took the time to make sure everyone got great photos and taught us about the local flora and geology. We absolutely strongly recommend this trip and Jorge.

Beautiful, varied, sometimes not very easy via ferrata hike. We have experience with via ferrata so it wasn't a problem for us. For inexperienced people it is certainly a challenge in places, although Manuel could always help with an additional safety device. Therefore also feasible for inexperienced people. We really enjoyed the trip. Our guide Manuel was great and told us a lot of interesting things. We would 100% recommend the tour and Manuel.

Jorge was a really great canyon guide. He knows his stuff, can tell many interesting things about nature and, probably the most important thing: with him you feel very aloof. A great experience with a great guide in an impressive landscape! Or simply: this was a 5-star-plus excursion!! Thanks George :)

It was just great fun. Jorge provides the orientation that is needed, but also leaves the freedom to try things out. Thumbs up!

Great guide and had a nice tour. The canyon is very easy for more experienced participants, but the scenery is magnificent
