We turned out to be with the two of us and Saul was our guide. Funny, friendly and very knowledgable guy. We visited the archeological site of Coba and climed the highest building for a spectacular view. After that we visited several Maya communities and we felt very welcome. We experienced an interesting Maya ceremonie, spotted spider and howler monkeys, went down the zipline over a cenote and canoed for a while. No rush whatsoever. The highlight was a jump in a gorgeous cenote filled with turtles, carfish in a cave packed with swallows and bats! The food at the final Maya family was delicious and making the tortilla was a good laugh. We got more than we expected and it is good to know that also the Maya communities truly benefit from our visit (fare share). Highly recommended tour: ask for Saul!
Who comes the Mexico and doesn’t want to try tacos! Alex was excellent tour. We was very kind, patient and informative on the local eateries. He picked us up from our resort with another driver. He drove us to the first spot and told us some information about Cancún. The first spot was the best, modern types of tacos. In total we went to 4 taco joints and all but one had beer available. The tacos were all good! Our last stop was a churro cart and lemme tell you, BEST churro I ever had! The churro cart was in an outdoor food area where me and my partner went bull riding and got amazing ice cream. Alex patiently waited for us to finish since we were the only two on the tour. I recommend Alex and this tour!
I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Cayan was great, very informative. We stopped at four different restaurants and had different types of tacos. All were delicious. Our last stop was for dessert and it was delicious too. Cayan provided historical details about the area and the food. If you don’t do anything else in Cancun take this tour. You will be impressed.
Excellent tour. Our guide Angel was amazing. Love every single stop. My favorite taco was the El pastor but every single one was amazing. My sister was very impress. It was her birthday and Angel got her mariachi at one of our stop to sing Las mañanitas. Thank you very much. I am playing on coming back to Cancun and doing this tour again.
Great introduction to different taco options as well as Mexican beers and the varied restaurants to find them. Our guide was friendly, helpful and very informative about Cancun & Mexican culture. If this is your first visit to Cancun, it is a excellent way also to take in “downtown” Cancun if you are staying in the hotel zone.
