Follow the world-renowned Stellenbosch Wine Route and discover award-winning wineries, garden walks, amazing views of historical buildings of beautiful Stellenbosch and the picturesque mountains and landscapes of the Simonberg/Banhoek and Jonkershoek Valley. The Stellenbosch North Wine Safari is a great way to experience some of Stellenbosch's leading wineries. These wineries include Stark Conde which boasts the Postcard Cafe, a huge Koi fish dam for the young to enjoy. Secondly, Rustenberg, which boasts beautiful gardens on their property, which is open for day visitors. Finally, end your tour with a visit to Glenelly with some wine and beautiful views of Stellenbosch.

Enjoy a day filled with beautiful scenery and wine and cheese tasting on this small group shared tour of the Cape Winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and sample up to 20 different wines with stops at 4 award-winning wine estates. Choose between two options, one including wine tasting fees and lunch or one that includes wine tasting fees only. Shortly after pick up at your accommodation between 8:00 and 8:30am, we head off on an all-inclusive, full-day Cape Winelands tour to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, known as the American Express Wine Route of South Africa. We begin with a town orientation tour of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. Our first wine-tasting stop will be at the Delaire Graff Wine Estate. Known as the Jewel of the Cape Winelands, Delaire Graff is not only famous for its award-winning wines, but also for it spectacular views and Instagram moment photo opportunities. Here you will taste 5 premium wines. From there, we will drive to Tokara Wine Estate. Tokara prides itself in producing world-class red wines, award-winning olive oil and spectacular views in the Stellenbosch Winelands. Here we will taste up to 4 Premium Wines. Next, we drive to Delheim Wine Estate, where we will enjoy lunch and our third wine tasting. Enjoy a main course lunch with premium wine tasting outside on the terrace (inside the restaurant in Winter) at the Garden Restaurant overlooking the lush green gardens. Choose your main course meal from a selection of meat, poultry, fish or vegetarian options. Only the main course is included in our tour price for only guests who have booked and paid for the wine and lunch option and may not exceed R275,00 per person. Should you exceed this amount the additional cost will be for your own account. Additional Wines, Soft Drinks and/or any other courses from the menu are for your own account. Water for the table is included. Guest(s) who booked the option of a wine tour with tasting fees only, will have to pay for lunch at their own account. Our final wine-tasting stop will be at one of the most popular wine-tasting destinations in the Cape Winelands, known as Fairview Wine Estate. Here we will taste up to 6 types of wines paired with 6 carefully selected types of cheese, ranging from red and white cultivars. A brief optional stop will be on offer in front of the Drakenstein Correctional Centre (formerly Victor Verster Prison) to take a photo with the Nelson Mandela monument. Kindly note that this stop is not compulsory and is optional. Our tour culminates with a drive through the town of Franschhoek, known as the food and wine capital of South Africa. It is home to some of the finest restaurants and wine estates in the country. Learn about the French influence on the Cape Winelands and stop at the French Huguenot Monument for a photo opportunity. Afterwards, you’ll head back to Cape Town and be dropped off at your accommodation.

Experience Banhoek Valley's Winelands by e-bike. Go at your own pace and relax with assisted pedaling as you make your way between destinations. Soak up the stunning scenery, ride down charming farm roads, and visit 2 to 3 wine farms. At the beginning of your tour, your guide will assist you in understanding your e-bike as well as help you adjust the bike's seating. Put on your helmet and then depart for your tour. Cycle your e-bike through the Banhoek Valley with the majestic Drakenstein Mountains in the background. Arrive at a wine farm, tucked away at the end of the valley. Here you can have the chance to enjoy a wine tasting experience with canapes while soaking in the views. After your wine tasting, head back towards the meeting for another 1 or 2 wine farm stops.

Driving Northeast out of Cape Town, we will pass some of the most well known townships in South Africa. The first one Langa, is the oldest one in Cape Town. Compared to other squatter like townships in South Africa. Langa is well developed and has seen its local economy grow from strength to strength over the years. Next we will pass the Cape Town International Airport. Known to be Africa's most award winning and safest Airport. Then we will pass a township called Khayelitsha. In Xhosa it means 'our new home'. Measuring 10 square miles and inhabiting more than half a million people. Vast majority of her inhabitants works in town and is daily dependant on public transport. As we drive off to the Cape Winelands region, we will pass The Cape Town Film Studios. The film industry grew rapidly in the lockdown. This is where The pirate carribean and Black Snails was shooted. Next we continue to the town of Stellenbosch, known to be the second oldest colonial town in the country. Her architecture, water furrows and well over 300 old oka trees guves one a nostalgic feeling of a bygone era. Dorp street for example has the longest row of oldest buildings in the Southern Hemiphere. Then we will pass the University of Stellenbosch. This is one of the Best universities in the country, because its where our winemakers study to become a wine maker. Next you will enjoy your first winetasting at Delaire Graff. Known to be the Jewel of the Cape Winelands. Next you will enjoy your second wine tasting at Tokara. They grow their own olives, and they reckon that it goes good with wine. Here you can do olive and wine tasting. Then we will continue to the town of Franschoek meaning ' French Corner'. This is where the French used to settle in the 1800's when they fleed from prosecution because of their religion. Franschoek is also top for food in the country. This is where we will stop for lunch. Lastly you will do a wine tasting at Eikenhof. A Small winefarm inherited by the fourth generation. This is where you will have the privilege of meeting the farmer himself doing the tasting. On our way back to Cape Town, we will stop at the Drakenstein Prison, where Nelson Mandela spend his last two years in prison.

Smooth transfer ,most helpful staff ,knew exactly how to arrange my day as there was a winery I wanted to visit again since my last visit 18 years ago that wasn’t on the specific tram line designated for this tour . Tram ride was fun and iconic .All the wineries has great service,friendly staff and great wine of course !
