On this full-day tour of Cappadocia you'll visit Derinkuyu Underground City, the largest excavated site of its kind in Turkey. At a depth of 85 meters the multi-level city could accommodate up to 20,000 people. Continue to the Ihlara Valley for a 4-kilometer trek. See cave churches from the 7th-11th centuries, most of which feature brightly colored frescoes. Stop at Belisirma, a typical Anatolian village, to enjoy lunch and visit some of the churches open to tourists. Stop also in Selime town, known for its rock-cut churches and one of the largest rock-cut monasteries in Cappadocia. In Goreme, enjoy the beauty of Cappadocia’s lunar landscapes and the many-colored rock formations.

Your first stop of the tour is Kaymaklı Underground City where dwellings with stables, cellars, storage rooms, refectories, churches, and wineries were used as refuges for the Christian communities. You will then continue your tour by driving to Ihlara Canyon also known as Grand Canyon created from the ashes of the volcanic Mt. Hasan. You will hike through the canyon, which is watered with Melendiz River and see rock-cut churches spread across the area.  After exploring the canyon you will have your lunch in a local restaurant in Belisirma by the river followed by a visit to Selime with hollowed out citadel and churches where fairy chimneys rest on the steep hillside.

Get picked up from your accommodation by your guide and head out on a small-group tour through Cappadocia. Start with a stop at Goreme Panorama, a scenic viewpoint that presents you with the expansive vista formed by the city below and the stunning rocky hills that back it. Then, drive to Kaymaklı Underground City to learn firsthand how early Christians protected and defended themselves from persecutions and invasions for centuries. Hike through Turkey's largest canyon, which features over 2,670 different plants that thrive in the valley's microclimate. Afterward, make the 1.5-hour drive to Ihlara Canyon for a 3.8 km hike along the river and through the area's beautiful nature. After the hike, satisfy your appetite with lunch at a local restaurant in Belisırma. Then visit Selime Monastery, the biggest religious building in Cappadocia with a cathedral-size church. Before returning you to your hotel, your guide will stop at Pigeon Valley, the best photo spot in all of Cappadocia.

Embark on a 4km hike through the picturesque Red Valley, visit one of the oldest monastic settlements in Cappadocia, and check out the underground city of Kaymakli on this guided tour. Hike among the sharp sandstone ridges and the striking landscape of the Red Valley before visiting Cavusin: one of the earliest monastic settlements in the region. Have lunch at a local restaurant before continuing on. After lunch, visit a famous Onyx workshop to witness some unique stones like Zultanite before discovering one of the largest and deepest underground cities of Cappadocia: Kaymakli. Take in panoramic views of beautiful Cappadocia on your last stop at Pigeon Valley.

Day 1 After meeting at Kayseri airport in the morning, you will drive for approximately one hour to Cappadocia. Your tour will start with a panoramic view of Göreme, where you can marvel at the hoodoos, also known as fairy chimneys. The second destination is Derinkuyu, an 3,500 year old underground city where you will have the chance to descend 8 floors. After, you will head to Ihlara Valley where you will hike around 3.5 km and then enjoy lunch in a nearby village. After lunch the next stop will be Yaprakhisar, here you can view conical shapes similar to those in the Star Wars Movie. Next, you will be taken to Selime Monastery where you will have the opportunity to learn about what life was like in the monastery before heading to view Pigeon Valley. At the end of the tour, you will visit the Onyx Factory, a volcanic stone workshop. Your tour will finish at 5:30 PM and you will be dropped at your hotel. Day 2 On your second day in Cappadocia, you will have the option to join a 6:00 AM hot air balloon tour. After getting picked up from your hotel at 9:15 AM, your first stop will be Uçhisar Castle where you will learn about the history of Cappadocia. The next and the most important stop is Göreme Open Air Museum where you will learn about the influence of the religion Christianity. After this stop, discover the Çavuşin Old Village and Paşabağı and then enjoy an open buffet lunch at Han restaurant in Avanos. After Lunch, experience a pottery demonstration before visiting Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley. Discover the hoodoos in Devrent Valley, some of which resemble animals and one the hat of Napoleon Bonaparte. Enjoy the most beautiful and breathtaking hoodoos in Cappadocia, Three Beauties of Ürgüp. The experience will starts when we pick you up from one of the airports in Cappadocia ((NAV or ASR airports) Our Cappadocia tour will start with Göreme panorama, where we'll have the opportunity to explain how Cappadocia come into existence as we know it. Then we will drive to Göreme open air museum, to explore this grand religious complex and it's famous cave churches. We will continue our tour with a visit to Devrent valley, to let our imagination run wild and trying to figure out which rock looks like what. Then we will pay a visit to town of Avanos for lunch. A visit to a pottery workshop is necessary while in Avanos, so we'll get into one, and let our hands get dirty with clay. With the end of the tour, we will take you to your hotel, to relax and get ready for tomorrow. After getting a good nights sleep, you'll need to get up quite early for a hot air balloon flight at sunrise, at Soğanlı Valley. Your pick up vehicle should arrive pre-dawn and all you have to do is getting into the car and let us take you to your balloon basket. After flying for 1-hour and landing, you'll celebrate it with a champagne toast, as tradition dictates. After that, we will take you to the hotel and you'll have brief time window to have your breakfast before your van arrives for the second part of your tour. Now we're going south, mainly Kaymaklı underground city, and Ihlara valley. Our first stop is Pigeon Valley at the town of Uçhisar. We'll have some time to talk about the pigeons of the region and the Uçhisar castle. This stop will also give us excellent opportunities to take excellent photos. Then we will hit the road once again, to see Kaymaklı underground city, it literally is a city, but underground; with it's living areas, stables, kitchens, places of worship, cellars and even cemeteries. After spending enough time at the Underground City, we will drive approximately 1 hour to Ihlara valley. Once we reach there we will descent into the valley trough stairs and start admiring this unique place. This visit will include at least a 3,5 km hike, so better be prepared. Once we get what we want from this lovely canyon. We will stop by the little stream of Belisrıma which goes trough the canyon, for a lunch. Our last point of visit will be Selime monastery, the biggest religious building in entire Cappadocia. With the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel. On the third day, following your breakfast, we will once again come for you; to take you to the airport for your flight back to İstanbul.

Start at 5.30AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer to Istanbul airport. Take a flight to Cappadocia where you will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel to check-in. Take a small hike in the Ihlara Valley, followed by a lunch break in Belisirma village. At Yaprakhisar Panorama, visit Selime Monastry, and marvel at all the different sections of a monastry in one composition. Finally, end your with a pigeon valley and onyx demonstration. Fly from Kayseri to Istanbul at 8.25PM and arrive in Istanbul at 9.55PM where you be transferred back to your hotel to end the program.
