What people are saying about Carolina, Puerto Rico

The hike itself was a bit challenging but so rewarding!! As our tour guides said “embrace the mud” (I didn’t and saved my white shoes) so you have choices. You’ll get to hike, learn more about trees and flowers specific to Puerto Rico, some history for others that made it to the island and about frogs and birds. Then we hiked through rocks to the water slides. SO FUN! The climbing is a bit difficult so the right shoes help but the tour guide literally walk you through the steps and will even carry you through some jumps. Wrapped it with a swim!! I’d recommend to take a tour early in the morning to avoid crowds. Lastly, our tour guides Evelyn and Joel were AMAZING!! Evelyn was thorough, informative, best photographer and funniest person ever!! You’ll fully enjoy the guide. Joel was so helpful carrying us and walking us through the steps.

Evelyn and Joel (I hope I got his name correct) are the best guides hands down. I've been to the rain forest prior and have never had this much fun. They both were super knowledgeable, fun and made sure none of us felt out of place. The hike is muddy but as my guide advised "embrace it" it is a rain forest after all. The hike again is not as bad and I do not exercise for nothing haha. The slide and the water amazing!!!! 82 degrees all you want to do is get in the water. Book book book book and I promise you, you will not regret it. Live life, you only have one to live.

Our tour guide Evelyn made the hike very enjoyable she was funny and very knowledgeable, she also recommended a delicious we purchase a Mojita's on the out way out that was absolutely delicious. I'm 59 years old female with an artificial knee and I was able to handle the hike. There was no rain the days before the hike so our hike was not as muddy at 8am in the morning. Nice breeze walking through the forest i had white shoes WEAR BLACK SHOES! THANK YOU EVELYN FOR BEING A HAPPY TOUR GUIDE.

Pick-up in the city was a definite plus. The guides - Evelyn and Joel - were fantastic. We learned a bit about the plants and animals in the tropical rain forest as we hiked. The water slide and cliff jumping were great. Both of my daughters do not swim. Evelyn and Joel made them feel safe, and they greatly enjoyed both activities. The trip to the rain forest was the highlight of our stay in Puerto Rico. Thank you!!

A wonderful experience. I wish it were longer. Guide Evelyn and Joel were awesome. Very knowledgeable with the local plants and surrounding vegetation. Best to go early in the morning, as the area can quickly get crowded with other tour groups. Very slippery, so proper footwear is required. Sneakers is best. Wish we spent longer in the area swimming.
