Our guide Christina was very knowledgeable about the Romans in that period. She brought us around the most interesting parts of the city and we learned a lot. She also gave us an insight into the way they lived and how archaeologists are dealing with all the finds that regularly crop when they build in the city. We also enjoyed the drink and tapas afterwards. The old tavern we went into was genuine, locals used it and the tapas was delicious.

Our guide Cristina gave us a detailed tour of the Roman ruins and a good overview of Cartagena past and present. Her tour was interesting, informative and well-presented. She was very efficient with the time but we never felt rushed. Cristina was very friendly and good-humored. We enjoyed spending time with her.

The ruins cover a lot of areas. Walking is necessary. Wear comfortable shoes.
