Excellent! Water was very choppy and the guides were extra cautious in providing instructions and guidance. Definitely recommend the 8:30am time slot as it was noticeably busier later in the morning (parking lot was full when we got back at 10:30am, it was empty when we got there). Loved our guide, he gave geological information of the area and spoke with passion about what he does. If you are like me and get motion sickness easily, I recommend taking medication if the water is choppy.

Great day out on the water. The guides are very friendly and helpful. They gather everything together to make the process simple, take you to the right spots, help you in and out of the water and carry the kayaks. The caves were beautiful, and being that close to the incredible rock formations was magical. The only thing stopping this from being a 5 for me is that it was quite a large group ( 26 People) all in double kayaks. This meant that we often had to go in and out of the caves one kayak at a time, and much time was spent waiting for each of the other kayaks to go in. Partially this was because it was low tide, which was good for lots of beach space to stand on in Benagil cave, but not as good because we couldn’t paddle through some caves and just needed to turn around. So consider which is more important to you when you decide on going at low or high tide. For a first time trip, it was am easy decision to go and worth it to take all the uncertainty away when plan

Our guides were great Andrea and Zack. They did us a training how to properly use the kayak and paddle and helped push us into the water safely. The caves are indeed beautiful and even if I have claustrophobia, I had no issue and really enjoyed the adventure. It can get challenging due to the high waves and currents and rocks around the cave but we had no problem and felt safe at all time. It definitely gets easier if you share the kayak with a guy (couple or 2 guys) as you need some upper body strength. 4 stars and not 5 as there is no toilet (there is one at the beach opening at 9am but our tour started earlier). It was taking a really long time to gather the group together and wait for each person and our group was the smallest, so imagine it takes an eternity when there are above 10 people included. There was no back support in the kayak and the life west were kind of old and used. Would recommend doing the tour early in the morning as it gets hot and crowded midday.
