Bangkok: Jim Thompson House and Baan Krua Community Tour
- Transportation included
- Duration: 4 hours
- Private group
We had a full day tour of Bangkok. Our guide Amy picked us up from the hotel right on time and before heading off, discussed with us what we would like to see during the day, made suggestions and then quickly composed an itinerary. We got to see everything on our list and Amy paced the day extremely well, given we had two young children with us. Having a local guide intimate with the locations and able to converse with the locals saved us a lot of time and made for a brilliant day.
It was good to use the 'public transport' option as got to go on sky train, boat, tuk tuk etc. VERY hot on day of visit so take enough water! We didn't stop for lunch as we had a flight deadline The title of the tour is an indicator but personally we felt we saw a few too many Buddhas. Flower market was amazing and boat trip to venues gave a different perspective
It was wonderful to not only see some of the best sights in Bangkok like the Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha and Wat Arun but to also experience the public transport used by Thai people each day. In addition, our guide Peter was FANTASTIC! Peter was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and we very much appreciated his excellent communication and English-speaking skills
Covers many of the main attractions in Bangkok. Grand Palace, Flower Market, Wat Arun, Chinatown etc. Having a private guide also makes the experience more intimate than group tours. I enjoyed this and recommend. My guide Pinn was very friendly and took lots of great pictures for me.
This was a great way to spend a day in Bangkok. My guide was extremely informative, and was willing to tailor the tour to meet my interests and comfort level. He also took a TON of photos, which I was not expecting but very much appreciated. I would do this again in a heartbeat!
