Luka is a very good and attentive guide with the whole group, there is a lot of technical explanation of the volcano. It is a good trekking ascent. We recommend that you have a good physical shape and it is better if you have experience in mountain trekking, although it can also be done with children and adolescents. Mountain boots are essential, a fleece jacket is necessary half way, and a walking stick is recommended. Free equipment is provided if needed.

Great experience. Without a guided tour like this you wouldn't get as close to the summit as well as see some hidden spots. The guide is experienced, speaks good English and French and guides you safely through the rocky and dusty landscape. Overall, you should be fit for the tour and take water and food with you. Hiking shoes can be borrowed for the tour free of charge, which is recommended.

Luca was a great guide: he was super focused on security and gave us a lot of information about the volcano, geology and the history. The size of the groupe was perfect. We were a bit unlucky at the beginning because of the high winds but the weather turned around pretty soon and we got to really enjoy the hike and views! It was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily!
