It was an experience. No long queues. first into the dome of the cathedral. 463 steps up. If you are not good at casting, you should leave it alone. There is no way to turn back. With several breaks, I managed it with my new knee. Halfway up you can see the central nave. incredible. Then continue to the outside gallery. A great view over the city. and then down all the steps again on a different path. The cathedral is worth seeing. And Florence is a unique experience

Unfortunately, at the beginning when entering the dome we had difficulties reading the scan code, which was not fully readable due to the transmission. After a 15-minute delay, we managed to get in and were able to tackle the 463 steps. Once at the top, we were able to enjoy a wonderful view that was also easy to photograph. Aside from the initial delay, it was a good and worthwhile experience.

We missed our tour they called us right away and gave us the tickets and directed us where to go on our own. My husband wasn’t feeling well, so we made do. Very nice that they tried to work with us. Sometimes you can only control what you can control.
