New York City: Central Park Scavenger Hunt Smartphone Tour

2. New York City: Central Park Scavenger Hunt Smartphone Tour

Discover 10 of the most notable attractions in New York's Central Park via a riddle-solving game on your smartphone. Uncover interesting information and facts about the sights after you solve the riddles. After purchase, receive a link for the mobile app with your login credentials. Then, once you're in Central Park, load the app and use the maps integration (an internet connection is required) to reach the attractions. At each stop, you have to solve a location-based riddle, which can only be done at specific locations. Don't worry: this is not a general knowledge test. Instead, use your logic, imagination, observation, combinatorial thinking, and team spirit to crack the riddles. Once you put in the correct code, the app will reveal the next destination and riddle to you. The puzzles are independent and not connected to each other through a story, so interact with the attractions and their exteriors to work out the answers. Take the opportunity to snap some photos as you walk between locations, and pause the game whenever you want. Have a coffee, visit a museum, go for lunch, or even wait until another day — the game will be waiting for you.

The game is accessible and entertaining for all ages. It took us to hidden corners of Central Park that we wouldn't otherwise have discovered. The only thing was that we didn't realize how to stop the game when we take a break. Therefore, we did poorly in the end. Attention: Internet connection is required, which can be expensive for foreigners.
