What a fun experience! My husband and I are in our 50s and had never driven a 4x4 before...we're so glad we had the chance to do it with Porto Buggy Adventure. After a brief discussion with our guide describing how to safely operate the buggy, we were on the road, winding our way through small towns, past small vineyards, and finally up into the mountains for some more challenging terrain. The stops in tiny Quintandona and scenic Pegaadinhas were very nice, and there were several opportunities for pictures and to switch drivers if you wanted to. Nicolas, our lead tour guide, was super energetic and lots of fun, and gave us some good historical information along the way. We felt safe the entire time and would definitely use Porto Buggy Adventures again on a future trip!

The walkways was a novel way to tour the geopark. Though quite long at 8 kms, we were not so exhausted as the wooden structures were nicely built. There were some uphill climbing but they were manageable. The bridge was awesome! It was a bit frightening at first but once you get the hang of it (pun intended) it’s like walking an ordinary footbridge with a spectacular view all around. The walk back was a lot easier. Our guide at the bridge did a wonderful job assuring us about the safety of crossing. I would definitely recommend this to those who are seeking a different way of exploring nature. Our guide Joao Pacheco of Detours was nice and kind enough to help my elderly aunt on the walkways. And the lunch was sumptuous and really filling too!

The suspension bridge and Paiva walkways are an unique experience, highlighting the beautiful Portuguese countryside . The walk was about 8 kms long following the Paiva River , which was beautiful even on a rainy day . Our guide Ricardo was friendly and attentive… helping in any way he could to make it a wonderful day . We enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch served family style The tour ended with a boat ride in Aveiro and a quick stop at the pretty houses along the beach in Costa Nova

The tour was cool. Nice adventure and different way to see Douro Valley. It would be nice if they’d switch the order of cars midway. You stay on the same line order the entire tour, so if you’re at the back of the line you may struggling to hear/see any signals and you’re stuck depending on how well the car in front of you keeps up with the group.

Good transportation and excellent meals. Crossing the bridge was a spectacular experience and the hiking was along a well maintained and beautiful path. Our guide knowledge, competent, and very friendly. We had a wonderful day.
