We took a couple hour drive with a group of 6 people along with our driver and tour guide. We were taken to this medieval-looking town which was BEAUTIFUL. Much of it was closed due to COVID; however, we still had a lovely experience. If you can- make it up to the top of the tower. You won’t regret all the steps it took to get to the breath-taking view!

Cesky Krumlov is a charming little town with beautiful old buildings and a big castle perching over the town. While it is worth a visit, it is quite far from Prague, 2.5 hours. So unless you heading that direction it may not make much sense to go for a day trip from Prague.

We had a good day on our trip to Cesky Krumlov. We were picked up from our hotel on time and then taken to another stop where we changed to a smaller vehicle. There were 6 persons on our trip and, the organisers decided to put all of us into a vehicle about the size of a SUV. We were rather cramped. The microphone within the vehicle did not work and the tour guide was really only able to converse with the passengers immediately behind him. The guide was, however excellent and made the trip special notwithstanding these trying matters.. Lunch was a disappointment and we would have been better off finding our own meals. Overall I rated the tour 4 stars because the guide was so good but otherwise it was no better than a 3 star trip. I do recommend Cesky Krumlov as a destination as it is just beautiful.
