What people are saying about Champagne-Ardenne

My two daughters and I enjoyed a magical long weekend in Paris in December and escaped the city on a full day tour of the Champagne region-and when I say full, it was 12 hours! Amazing. And yes LOTS of champagne throughout the day, starting around 10:30 a.m. so, pace yourself if you're like me - not a day drinker. They are rather generous tasting pours! We were picked up at our hotel promptly at 8am by Victor and joined another lovely and hilarious couple from Mexico who honestly added even more magic and fun to an already incredible day. Victor kept us safe, entertained and educated. En route to our first stop he had us play a scents game where we guessed the scent of about 12 different vials (ranging from the obvious to the not so recognizable). The scenery was glorious. Despite challenging traffic back to Paris (while the five of us slept off our bubbles) Victor got us back to Paris safely and left us with a day we will not forget.

This was a great experience. Our guide, Simone was so kind and knowledgable. He picked us up right on time in the morning and drove us safely to the Champagne region. We started off at the house of Moet & Chandon. The M&C guide gave us a thorough explanation of how Champagne is produced. After that, went to some smaller champagne makers which were all delightful and got to taste a variety of different champagnes. and had a wonderful lunch at one of them. Anyone that loves champagne will enjoy this tour. The only recommendation I can make for people that are taking this tour in November like I did- dress very warmly! It got very cold and rainy on our day and it can be cold in the cellars too.

The Champagne day trip was fantastic. It was exceptionally informative, and lots of fun, with great, and very generous tastings and lunch. I didn't feel rushed - it was all well-timed and relaxed with plenty of time to enjoy the experience. The guide Jean-Baptiste was excellent - very knowledge, kind, thoughtful and he certainly made the day very special..

We saw Moët & Chandon as our first stop, then 2 smaller champagne houses and had a delicious lunch! Jean-Baptiste was a kind, knowledgeable and amazing guide/driver! We had a lovely day, and really enjoyed the small group tour today, everything was perfect!

Jean, tour guide, was superb! Also, the vendors were excellent! Excellent service overall. It’s def worthy
