My boyfriend and I did this tour and it was very nice and almost like a private tour. Their where 2 other girls with us, they where the same age, so for us it was fun. Our Guide George did a really good job by telling a lot about this country, the culture and food. You could ask him everything and he will answer very honestly. He spoke very good english and give us some more tips for the next days what we can do here in Xania. It’s not a really active tour, the day before we did the Samaria tour so at this tour we could rest more and enjoy good food and good wine. We tasted 5 different wines, it’s maybe not much but the people were very friendly and you also get extra food “brunch” with your wine with really good olive oil. Their is not really a safari, i think the trip to the wine tastery was “the adventure”. It was more like a off-road kind a thing. We ate really good and had good wines with a great guide/chauffeur. So thank you George! Michelle & Frederik

I can only recommend the organization or the online platform GetYourGide. Uncomplicated, bookable from home, everything worked out. Information was received by email in good time before the trip, and everything else met what was agreed. The experience itself was also super nice, even if the day was very long with 10-12 hours, but you prepare for it. The food on the ship was good, there were also cocktails, etc. We had read the comments in advance and were walking with sturdy shoes. However, many people on the ship came in pines and then had problems walking over the stony paths when docking in Balos. So I ask myself: "Can't people read?" Therefore, when hopping from the ship to Balos, there were long queues that could have been avoided because people simply couldn't walk. Sturdy shoes are advisable here! I can recommend this experience, VG Simone

Wonderful and intimate tour! We were able to see the oldest olive tree in the world on a family-owned farm, then travel to Anoskeli winery where we tried olive oil and wines from the winery. The olive oil was the best we have ever had. We then traveled to a lovely restaurant for lunch, where our meals were already ordered and we were able to try traditional Cretan food like stuffed zucchini flowers (our personal favorite). We were shown around the countryside as well, and while it was good amount of driving, the views were fantastic! There were supposed to be 4 of us, but the other couple did not show up so we got a personal tour from George who was incredible! He was extremely friendly and we really enjoyed his company throughout the day. Overall, a great tour that we highly recommend.

It was an interesting and enjoyable outing. We experienced beautiful mountainous countryside, great local food and drinks. Our driver/guide was amazing!

Great tour, with a great guide! Amazing lunch spot, autentic places, and overall a lovely experience.
