We reach the famous beach of Matala. This is the place where Zeus, having taken the form a bull, swam ashore with Europa on his back before dragging her off to Gortys. Both the Minoans and the Romans used the place as their harbor. Nevertheless, for most people, Matala means only one thing: hippies. Back in the late 1960s - 1970s, this little town was a colony of the “flower children”, who lived in the caves that used to be former Roman tombs. What people are saying about Chania Regional Unit

The organization and tour guide were very good. After a two-hour bus ride from Rethymnon to Kissamos, we changed to the ship that took us to the island of Gramvoussa in one hour. The ride on the ship was pleasant. At Gramvoussa we had time to swim and climb the ruins for a view over the turquoise waters and the island (it's quite tiring but worth it!). After a 20 minute drive we were at Balos Lagoon. It's beautiful there - crystal clear water. Water shoes are recommended, as there are slippery stones at the beginning of the sea.

The trip was great and very professionally organised. The pickup point was just in front of our hotel, the guide was very nice and well prepared, the driver also. We visited great places and the views were very nice. I highly recommend this trip, as well as the travel agency.

Easy pick-up. Safe driver. Stopping at a nice viewpoint on the way there and on the way home at a small village where there was GOOD orange juice. Elafonissi is very nice with crystal clear water.

The overall experience was very nice. Our bus arrived earlier than others so we were able to get sunbeds. The guide and the driver were friendly. Totally recommend!

Det var fantastiskt resa med en trevlig guide Mike.
