Visiting Altos de Chavon was nice. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He took pictures of us and provided information about the Dominican Republic and relevant events that have taken place at the venue. He also paid for natural juice drinks and humus at one of the restaurants. The tour was private and personalized which made us feel safe. One suggestion I would make is to offer a clear disclaimer about pick up location. We paid $70 per ticket per person + $30 for roundtrip transportation from our hotel. It was frustrating to realize that there was no pick up location in Uvero Alto as described. I had to call the vendor the night before and I would highly suggest calling to arrange transportation beforehand if you want to avoid last minute surprises . A taxi from my hotel would have cost $120 roundtrip for 2 people. Altos de Chavon is about 1:15 mins from the Bávaro hotel area. So, this trip will take you no less than 4 hrs. Is something to consider.

The excursion in general very well. We chose it mainly to snorkel and we were unlucky and the sea was somewhat rough. On the beach you hardly see fish, reef,... take advantage of the first stop to observe the marine fauna. The food could be better but good. During the meal it rained and there were not enough tables under the "roof". (Tropical rain of 15 minutes) Los Altos de Chavon with a quick visit, like this excursion, is enough.

Melvin was an excellent guide. He was able to tour me around the places that I really wanted to visit. He messaged me the night before the tour, informing me of my pick up time. He arrived on time. And was very compassionate on the story/ history of each tourist spot. I am planning to return and will definitely ask him to tour me around on the other beautiful destinations in DR.

Excellent service and attention on this excursion, thanks especially to Nadine and Florent, I can't forget Christian, the photographer Pedro and the rest of the catamaran team. 1000% recommended.
