Explore Chiang Mai’s more popular temples with a Tuk Tuk and take a stroll through the eclectic and colorful Warorot Street Market in this half-day tour. The first stop will be Wat Chedi Luang. Known as the “Temple of the Big Stupa”, this 700+-year-old temple, famous for its Lanna-inspired designs, was once the home of the much-revered Emerald Buddha statue. Take a visit there today and you'll see a replica version which was a donation from the Thai king.  Pass by the 3 Kings Monument, a shrine named after the three founders of Chiang Mai, before moving on to Wat Phra Singh temple. One of the more venerated temples in Chiang Mai, Wat Phra Singh was built in the 14th century and is famous for its northern Thai designs and impeccable gardens. Next, visit the Tha Phae Gate. A famous landmark for locals and visitors alike, it was once part of a high-bricked defensive wall that surrounded the city. Discover the host of bars, restaurants, and hotels within walking distance. After wandering around the gate, visit Wat Srisuphan, or the Silver Temple which was named after its ornate silver-colored designs. Before the day ends, stop at Warorot Market or Muang Mai Street Market and shop for local street food or produce.

Meet at the  Wat Phra Singh Temple in Chang Mai. Drive countryside on a long but comfortable drive. Stop at the hot springs halfway between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. The water is warm enough that you will witness locals boiling their breakfast eggs in the geothermal water.  Then, visit the iconic White Temple, an impressive temple known worldwide for its unique sculptures and carvings. Capture the beauty of this photogenic point designed by Thailand's famous artist, Chaloemchai. Next, head off to the Big Buddha, an impressive statue and temple at the top of a small hill. If there is no special celebration that day, you can go up inside the Buddha's head and take in the views. Have a lunch break and enjoy a delicious Thai meal. Move on to the next highlight, a visit to the Black House Museum. Learn about the history behind this Lanna-style house designed by artist Thawan Duchanee. See his masterpieces in a contemporary artwork museum. Discover sculptures, wooden carvings, and furniture created by him. In the afternoon, see another of Chiang Rai’s gems, The Blue Temple, with its impressive murals. Listen to the history of the city and temple from your informative Spanish guide. You will have the optional to visit the Karen Village ( entrance fee 500 baht per pax ) if you would like to learn more about the culture and lifestyle of the northern hill tribes. Wear traditional outfits, learn how to craft handmade goods, and see the famous neck rings worn by Karen women. After a full day of sightseeing and exploring, make the journey back to Chiang Mai. You will be dropped off at your hotel around 7:00 PM.

Benefit from pickup at your hotel in Chiang Mai, and then depart for Doi Suthep and Pui Mountain. Arrive at Doi Suthep Temple to transfer to a small truck that will take you into the mountains to a remote Hmong Hill Tribe village. Learn how the locals still live connected to nature, and get some free time to explore the village on your own, including the primary school and its compound. Relax with an afternoon coffee or tea before heading back to Doi Suthep Temple. Located at the top of the Doi Suthep National Park, see its famous golden pagoda and enjoy a viewpoint that overlooks Chiang Mai city. At Huai Tung Tao, enjoy your delicious Thai lunch by the lake. This immense lake is surrounded by bamboo houses and it is where many locals go to spend the day on the weekends.  Later in the afternoon, travel to Wat Jet Yod, another lesser-known site in a district outside the old city. Hear the history of how the Lanna people protected themselves from invasions and you walk through ancient trees and lush gardens. At the end of the day, follow your guide inside the Warorot Market, the China Town of Chiang Mai, to see a large collection of local products and fun souvenirs. Afterward, return back to your hotel, arriving around 4:00 PM.
