Chiang Mai: Michelin Recommended Food Guided Walking Tour

1. Chiang Mai: Michelin Recommended Food Guided Walking Tour

Embark on a short and sweet walking tour of the best of Chiang Mai’s food scene. Discover some of the city’s most delicious eateries from markets to local-favorite restaurants. Choose from multiple start times for a time that suits you. Meet up with your friendly guide at Thapae Gate to begin the walking tour. Work up an appetite with a stroll along the handicraft street to see crafts made by local vendors. Your first stop of the day is Guay Jub Chang Moi Tat Mai to try their famous guay jub, a rolled rice noodle dish. After slurping on some noodles, head to Warorot Market, where you can find delicious snacks, produce, clothes, and more. For a sweet treat, visit a local-favorite stall for some mango sticky rice. From there, visit Go Neng Restaurant to taste a Chinese specialty of oddly-shaped deep-fried dough, pa tong go. Taste this popular snack before heading to your last stop. The last stop is another stall where you’ll sample Thai steamed rice. Try the Lung Khajohn Wat Ket sweet steamed rice dumplings. Then, head to the Ton Lamyai Flower Market for the end of the tour. Important Note: Kindly note that most restaurants mentioned tend to close by early afternoon. If you choose the 2:30 pm slot, your experienced guide will take you to alternative (but just as delicious) street food stalls to ensure you still get a taste of authentic Chiang Mai street cuisine. If you would like to stick to this itinerary, it is highly recommended to book the morning slots.

Chiang Mai: Old City and Temples Guided Walking Tour

2. Chiang Mai: Old City and Temples Guided Walking Tour

Join a short walking tour around Chiang Mai to visit some of the city’s most famous temples in just two hours. You'll see Wat Chedi Luang with its large stupa, the humble Wat Phan Lao and stunning Wat Phra Singh. The first stop on your walking tour will be Wat Chedi Luang. Built between the 14th and 15th centuries, this impressive temple has the largest stupa in Chiang Mai. Walking around the sprawling compound you have the chance to see striking Lanna-style design up close. Compared to Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Phan Tao will seem quite humble in size. However, don’t let its size fool you, this small temple features intricately carved teak wood facades. It was once a throne hall for King Mahotara Prateth before becoming a dedicated house of prayer.  Lavish Wat Phra Singh is the final stop on your tour. This stunning building built in the 14th century is one of Chiang Mai’s finest temples. With amazing grounds, mosaic-inlaid sanctuary, large Lion Buddha statue and gilded pagodas, there’s a photo opportunity waiting around every corner.

Our guide Ms Koi was very knowledgeable and helpful with describing the varied Thai and Chinese delicacies in Chiang Mai. The tour was overall very informative , exciting and wholesome. Got to interact with the locals and chat on their recipes. Our tour guide went above and beyond to add a stop over in a Budda Temple, with a blend of local cuisine. Highly recommended

This is a great tour for you to learn about Thai cousine and know where you can find the best spots to taste it! Our guide, Nancy, was wonderful! Top spots were the one where we had the best Pad Thai ever (we had it for dinner as well :D) and the local market. Don’t hesitate to do do this tour! You will love it!
