The tower was constructed by Rana Kumbha, the Mewar king, in 1448 to commemorate his victory over Mahmud Khilji and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Continue your visit to the Kriti Stambha or Tower of Fame, another important feature of Chittor Fort. The Solanki-style architectural tower is 22-metre long and was established by the first Jain Tirthankar. See the Padmini Palace, home of Rani Padmini, lying near Chittorgarh Fort.
