Seville: 3–Hour Historical Tour

4. Seville: 3–Hour Historical Tour

Seville has been one of the most important cities in Spain since ancient times; the first settlers of the site have been identified with the Tartessian culture. The destruction of their settlement is attributed to the Carthaginians, giving way to the emergence of the Roman city of Hispalis, built very near the Roman colony of Itálica. At the time of the Almoravids, Seville was the best walled city in Europe. Following the riots of 1868 the revolutionaries toppled many of those walls, leaving sections of Macarena, Puerta de Córdoba and Alcázar. On this route, discover the doors of Seville, where carriages were stopped, mysteries unravelled,  stories unfolded; and take a cycling tour of the historic area, seeing the defensive route of the old Seville. Puerta Carmona, Puerta Osario, Puerta Triana - see them all, stopping at each one.

We did the Tour with Pepa myself and my partner this past Saturday since we visited Seville and we are from Barcelona. In an entertaining way, Pepa took us on a tour of the main monuments in the center of Seville, the Santa Cruz neighborhood and its surroundings. We asked the questions we wanted and he informed us of everything with exquisite taste. Thanks Pepa for making us feel at home. This trip is already unforgettable for us .....
